Swiss School Bangkok is comprised of about 240 students, taught by approximately 40 teachers. The infrastructure is maintained by 15 workers in administration and house maintenance.

Swiss School Bangkok is  an organization under the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs; it is registered with and licensed by the Ministry of Education.

Swiss School Bangkok is a non-profit, politically neutral and non-sectarian institution. It is officially accredited as a private Swiss overseas school and as such receives financial support from Switzerland. The Federal Republic of Germany supports the school by providing four tenured teachers delegated by the state.

The school includes a Gymnasium (High School), which leads to the official Swiss Matura through a 12-year course. The Matura is issued by the Kanton Luzern since the 3rd July, 1995.

All graduation diplomas are recognized by the Swiss, the German and the Thai education systems. This means that Thai students with sufficient Thai language proficiency are eligible to sit for the entrance examinations at Thai universities.

The Swiss School Bangkok committee decides all school policy matters and executes them through the school direction. The committee is elected annually by the members of the Swiss Educational Association Bangkok (SEA).
