|Kindergarten (for children aged 3-5 years)|
The kindergarten presents the first step
from the family into society for children between the ages of three to five
years old and prepares them for a successful integration into school. It
supports, fosters and accompanies children in this process and compliments the
partnership built between child and parents, with the aim to educate and teach
them. The emphasis lays on the children’s overall development.
Support based on each child’s personal development is the focus of our educational work. The main emphasis is to understand the world through one’s own experiences. By the means of targeted lessons the child gets to know his own body and his environment and with this wins self-confidence and self-awareness.
The kindergarten is supervised by a German-speaking teacher, who is supported further by German and English speaking teachers. Accordingly, children already become accustomed to English language in their early educational years.
29 lessons are taught in kindergarten per week. There is no rigid schedule within the daily class from 7:30 a.m. to 1:10 p.m. (only Physical Education, English and library times are set). School ends at 11:55 a.m. on Fridays. The lessons are completed as the timetable itself -flexible -to enable individual reaction and adjustment. As on all other school levels, qualified teachers for special education and other needs are available at all times.
Entry is possible throughout the year.
The school director is responsible for admission of children to the kindergarten.
Specifically for students with limited German language knowledge, the subject “German as Foreign Language” is available. It is expected that parents support their children as much as possible when learning German. Children that require extra support in areas such as gross and fine motor skills, speaking, perception and social skills are supported with individual special educational measures for early development (individual fostering, psychomotor learning groups).
Students are escorted to and from school and supervised during travel on the Montri school bus service.
LunchThe students eat catered lunches together in the canteen in their own quiet room with supervision.
